You will find that there are many different types of debt attorneys available. Some of these debt attorneys are available to assist you in getting out of debt. However, there are others who are available in order to take legal actions against you to allow for debt collections that you may owe. There are three types of debt attorneys. You have debt consolidation attorneys, debt collection attorneys and bankruptcy attorneys. The reason I have written this article is to help consumers to learn some hints and information about what the disadvantages and the advantages are of using an attorney for their debt consolidation, when you should worry about your account if it is with a debt collection attorney and what you should pay attention to when you are seeking a bankruptcy lawyer.
Attorneys for Credit Card Collection
Many consumers not knowing, that since your debt is collected by a law office, doesn’t mean you are being sued for your balance. Even though this is possible, but there are circumstances that may not be their case:
1. If the attorney is not licensed where you live. But there are many attorneys that do have many offices that could also be in your state so they could work past this. and still be able to prasue collecting from you.
2. The attorney can be licensed in the state you are in, but they can believe pursuing legal actions against you would be pointless, due to you don’t have any income, or assets, or even because you have been protected under laws of the state you are in from the judgment execution. Once a person is sued and had a judgment against them, the attorney usually will go about collecting the balance in some other ways. There is wage garnishment, or levying your bank account, and putting the lien on the families home. If you don’t have an income or any property then a lawyer can determine that pursuing a judgment is not the thing to do. Why would they waste time and money ion something that they would not be able to collect on? Now that would be really pointless and a total waste of all the resorces they have availibe. So they most likley would not want to go this rouit unless they had the information that would show that is would be in their favor to bring a suit apon you.
